Can I reach out even if we have not decided to pursue ZEB yet?

Absolutely. A feasibility study is the first step in determining whether ZEB is viable and what the most realistic path forward looks like. Initial consultations are free of charge.

Do you support both new construction and retrofit projects?

Yes. For new construction, we support planning, BEI calculation, and design advisory. For existing buildings, we cover feasibility studies, design support, construction-stage performance management, and operations.

How much additional cost does ZEB usually require?

For new construction, a rough benchmark is around 10% above standard cost. For existing buildings, the increment varies, but insulation and energy-recovery ventilation can enable HVAC downsizing and often improve life-cycle cost performance.

Can you support subsidy applications?

Yes. We support projects that use subsidy programs from the Ministry of the Environment, METI, MEXT, and others — from feasibility study through application, post-award administration, inspection support, and final reporting.

Can I request only BEI calculation or design support?

Yes. We accept partial scopes such as BEI calculation only, energy code compliance only, BELS registration only, or advisory support for teams unfamiliar with ZEB.

Can retrofits be carried out while the building remains occupied?

Yes. Occupied-building retrofit feasibility, closure ranges, timing, and phased renovation approaches are all examined as part of our feasibility study.

What information is helpful for an initial consultation?

Building use, total floor area, location, year of completion for existing buildings, and the status of major building systems are especially helpful. Please feel free to contact us even if drawings or energy data are not yet ready.
